Inked by Dani is a category-defining wearable beauty brand that began with hand-drawn temporary tattoos and has since expanded into innovative semi-permanent designs, face gems, and nail art. Now stocked nationwide at Target and featured in major retailers across the U.S., the brand has built a loyal global following and secured high-profile collaborations with partners including Phlur, Saks Fifth Avenue and Paramount.
As the brand scaled, their Shopify site needed technical refinement to match its visibility. We began with a full theme update to improve speed, responsiveness, and overall performance.
Alongside the technical improvements, we strategically refined the front-end experience to improve conversions, and product discovery, focusing closely on the product page and collection pages, especially on mobile devices. We also streamlined visual clutter by removing decorative elements that interrupted product browsing, improving navigation, accessibility compliance, and overall shopability.

The navigation was overhauled from the ground up — key collections surfaced, hero products highlighted via a promotional block, and the header simplified for a more direct path to shop. With traffic evenly split between desktop and mobile for this store, both experiences were carefully optimised.
We significantly improved product discovery on collection pages by introducing sidebar filters and top navigation tabs, allowing shoppers to browse by product type and then refine by collection. As a key landing page for both SEO and paid traffic, this structure ensures visitors can quickly find what they’re looking for. Custom metafields were implemented to power this functionality, giving the brand greater control and scalability.
We also introduced promotional blocks within collections to strategically suggest complementary items such as gift cards, that customers may not have initially considered.
